{KDS has carried out successful work for me over a three-year period at Drax Power Station, the UK’s single biggest power station which generates 15% of the country’s renewable electricity – enough to power Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and Sheffield. The projects KDS has assisted with have included roadworks, drainage and reinforced concrete structures. Working with KDS has always been a positive experience. At Drax, safety is our number one priority and therefore it is important to me and my colleagues that KDS’ site supervision has always maintained a good understanding of the safety requirements and managed these to a high standard. {KDS Construction have been working on our site almost continuously for the last 8 years. Within that time they have undertaken projects ranging from forge hammer foundations involving heavy civil engineering works completed within tight areas to smaller projects including building foundations, drainage, retaining walls etc. They always work methodically through the whole project and keep to their plan to within a few days, subsequently the quality and especially the accuracy of the foundations are always first class. Currently they are completing the forge extension works that include heavily reinforced piled forge hammer foundations and foundations for the building itself. Due to the longevity of time they have been site we know the whole KDS team. They always keep the site tidy and above all safe, as well as being very knowledgeable and helpful in everything they do. I have no hesitation in recommending KDS Construction to any other company.

{KDS Construction have recently completed a programme of civil works for a new generation of steel coating equipment at our Tata Steel, Shotton site. It included extensive, heavily reinforced piled foundations, steel fixing, accurate excavation, formwork and concrete finishing to high degree of accuracy. The project was to construct new coater house while the original line was still running in a very restrictive and congested environment. This required very high standards for management, workmanship, skills and communication. KDS onsite supervisors attended daily meetings where safety, logistics and contractor interaction issues were discussed. Communication, emergency preparedness, experience, training & competencies were sufficiently addressed during our site access briefing and a high standard of health and safety awareness was demonstrated during the project. I would therefore recommend KDS Construction & Civil Engineering for any similar construction/engineering projects and would have no hesitation in using KDS for future projects.
